And he's loving his Hulk hands.  We didn't have a big party cause of illness in the house.  Yucky coughs and runny noses.  We love you little Manny!

Cutie Pie

Marlee got a phone for her 10th bday- which is still 2 months away- but we got a good deal when Tommy upgraded and I see no reason to let it sit in a box for 2 months. Anyway, she took this adorable picture of Manny and sent it to me. Isn't he just adorable!

Manny was so happy. Yesterday was a beautiful day and he got to go to my moms and roll his trucks down the hill.

Umm Umm's

Manny loves the blessed bread at Church. He always grabs a handful after liturgy and in the line going up to receive Holy Communion you can hear him saying "umm umm".

Pittsburgh Popcorn

Pittsburgh Popcorn is a wonderful place in the Strip District. They have the best popcorn. I'm not a big fan of popcorn unless it's Kettle Corn. Well they flavor or drizzle delicious goodness on theirs. We tried to make out favorite at home and it came out pretty good but just not the same. I made a batch of kettlecorn- recipe is on my blog but I'm blogging from my iPhone while I'm nursing baby to sleep so I can't link to it- and drizzled melted chocolate and peanut butter chips on it. Manny thought it was great but he can't have much cause he's just not ready for the kernels yet.

Here's a picture of Manny standing on the little wooden bench listening to Father James' sermon today. We are still in the "cryroom" cause if we go out Manny wants to run up and down the isles and go up and kiss the Icon, not to mention dip his whole hand in the Holy Water and try and lick it off his fingers. When Divine Liturgy is over he runs up to the front and then is allowed to kiss the Icon and take some blessed bread. He loves it. He always reaches for a handful and says "umm umm". Oh and in the nave when he walks by the candles he puts his finger up to his lips and says "shhh"

Manny is laying on his sisters luggage as a protest to get her to stay. Our oldest has been asked to go to the beach for nearly a week with my parents. She is so excited.... The rest of us not so much. Mason is having her take his beloved companion doll Pawpan and Morgan is already counting the days till she comes home and she hasn't even left yet! Tommy and I have been praying she stays safe and has fun. Marlee is the only one who is kind of happy to see her go cause then maybe just maybe Morgan will get desperate and play Barbies with her.

This is what Manny says when he see's food he wants. He just woke from his nap to a batch of fresh baked pumpkin cookies..... Ummmmm.

Passed Out

Someone got up a little too early and passed out...well nursed back to sleep.. so I got to go to Liturgy without him today.  Marlee still came along but we got to sit in front and not in the cryroom.  It was so nice to sing and participate.  The sermon was just what I needed too.  Father talked about living your life for eternity and not to worry about the people of this worlds option....follow Gods word.  How reassuring.

Manny sat and ate for about 30 seconds in his highchair before he climbed in my lap....needless to say we both needed a bath when we were done.

Things didn't go so well at Barnes and Noble

The top picture is of Manny having a great time at Barnes and Noble on the stage but then things quickly turned bad when he tripped face first into the lil benches they have there playing peekaboo with Morgan. He started wailing and when I picked him up and turned him around blood was just running out of his little mouth. I tryed to cup my hand under his chin to catch it and called for the other children to follow me. We quickly walked up to the drink area for ice, all the while he is just wailing. A crowd gathered and a lady insisted on calling 911 to check him. I finally got him settled before they got there by nursing him which also stopped the bleeding. The management and workers were very kind and helpful and so were the customers. A manager watched the other children while I went into the ambulace with him so that they could see if he needed stitches or not...luckly he didnt.
I realized that day another hard part about been a mom of many... when you are out with them all alone and something bad happens what do you do? My husband was 45 mins away so if it had been worse and he needed to go in the ambulance I would have had to let him go alone and follow with the other children. There is no way they could let me and 5 children ride with them. That would have been awful. I pray we are never put in that situation. Manny is recovering well and everyone loves the stuffed Brobee doll that ended up coming home with us. Madison is pretending to feed him a lollypop in the 2nd picture and the 3rd is of my lil guy all tuckered out drooling some blood on the way home. Wow, I just couldn't get over how much he bled. That cute lil outfit is probably ruined. Oh well, atleast he's gonna be ok.

Why is a picture of a naked baby in the bathtub just so irresistible?

Its Been Busy Here...

Last Thursday the children and I went to the park and Marlee fell off of this zipline type contraption and fractured her wrist and elbow. My husband watched our other children while my wonderful mother, Manny, Marlee and I spent the night in the ER and then the poor lil thing had surgery in the morning. She'll have it on 6 weeks. Oh, and it her right hand, she's righthanded.

She's smiling cause the morphine kicked in...




Marlee, Manny and I went up to Uniontown to Mt. Saint Macrina for the Pilgrimage. We had a really nice time and we are looking forward to next year.

Manny has been helping me with the end of the summer clean-up.

Peace....

Up early, so down for an early nap. Doesn't he still look so little and peaceful? You wouldn't think he was up already for several hours tearing the place up before the other children were even awake.
