Serenity

Manny needed a little nap ride in the van after Masons birthday party and he fell asleep pretty fast so I drove up to our favorite park and swung for ten minutes while he napped in the van. It was so relaxing. I haven't done that in years. It was a beautiful 60'degree day with a light breeze in the tall trees. The birds were singing and I felt like i was the child again. Praise be to God for the beauty and calming effects of nature.

Madison's Learning to Cook

Madison cooked them after Malree and I mixed up the batter.

Marlee helped me set the table

Yummy...

Manny sat and ate for about 30 seconds in his highchair before he climbed in my lap....needless to say we both needed a bath when we were done.

More Signs of Spring

One of the best parts of homeschooling is being able to fully enjoy every season and take our classroom outside. Our children love to identify the birds and the emerging spring bulbs.

Crocus and tulips

I'm so happy to see buds on my raspberry canes.

Finally Manny standing still and Mason is the blur.

Madison and the boys enjoying the raindrops.

Spring is here!

I love the sights, sounds and smells of spring. I love to let the children pick the flowers and bring them in to sit in front of a fan to blow their sweet smells around the house. They get so excited when I let them pick them cause no one else does. But I remember always wanting to pick them and bring them inside when I was little and I do always try and remember what it was like to be a child and the little things that made me happy or sad and I try really hard to make my children feel special and loved. Its so hard sometimes to be grown up and I want my children to look back and to have really enjoyed their childhood and I want them to have the oppertunity to truely have a carefree childhood.
