Manny's New Cup

Manny loves to have a little coffee with us so when I stopped in Starbucks today to see if they had anything on clearance from Christmas I saw this cute little cup, it's Demi size in Starbucks talk, and I just had to get it for him. He loves it! They also finally have coffee that's not too strong for me. They were giving out samples of their new coffee called Blonde. The girl said it's the lightest roast they've ever served and it was so good. My big girls can't wait to go and try it out with a cake pop. Madison will probably think it's too weak though.

Steelers and Broncos

Praying together before the game.... I love it!

A Little More Tebow

I got this from a friend-

The fact that Tebow had 316 yards passing and averaged 31.6 yards per pass in the game didn't escape notice on Sunday night. Tebow wore "John 3:16" on his eye black in the 2009 BCS Championship game and has since become identified with the famous Bible message.
The coincidental stats caused millions of fans to perform Google searches on the Bible passage in the past 24 hours. Here's one more unbelievable stat: John Ourand of Sports Business Journal reports that the final quarter-hour television ratingfor the Broncos-Steelers game was, you guessed it, 31.6.
(John 3:16 reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Waiting for Germination

Our little guys seeds aren't germinating yet so I covered him with our glass cake dome today to help him along.

Tim Tebow Interview

Watch this to here the interview with Tim Tebow after they beat our hometown Steelers yesterday.(make sure to pause the music from my blog)  I tried to put up the video but it wouldn't work ;( .  I think he is such a great guy.  He dodged all the negative questions with ease and thanked God and his teammates but didn't take any of the credit himself ever though he did have a really good game yesterday.  I was rooting for the Steelers but if we were going to get beat by anyone I'm happy it was them.  Best of luck to them next week against Brady.  Now that's one great quarterback-professionally, I don't know much about him personally but my husband says their defense isn't the best so maybe Tebow has a chance if he can play like he did yesterday.  What a great role model he is.  Troys one of my favorites too, sad to see him loose.

Happy to be Feeling Better

I'm still not totally better from my back issues but I am feeling much better and I'm so happy to be able to take care of my family again.  Tonight we had a great dinner of breaded pork chop fried in this and they were wonderful.  I have to thank my dear friend Mellissa for "learning" me about coconut oil.  We also had cooked carrots, homemade applesauce, and Pioneer Womans Breakfast Potatoes.  I feel so blessed to be able to cook good meals for my family and clean up after them too!  Clean up is actually a relaxing time for me when I just get to hang out in the kitchen and sing along with some of my favorite artists playing on my iphone.

Love This Song

I might be a little late of discovering this song but I love it!

Please Say a Prayer...

For little Manny. He's been kinda sick and cranky for over a week now so we went to Med Express and both ears are infected. Poor little guy.
Morgan is sick as well with the flu but she didnt want to go. She seems to be improving today. That's one good thing about the flu- you feel absolutely horrible for a day, maybe 2 but then it's over. With colds, coughs and sore throats they seem to linger on FOREVER! Give me a good old quick flu anytime over those. Atleast you can get some rest.

Cha Cha Cha Chia

I found a Chia Pet new in the box at Saint Vincents for $1.00 so we got him for a fun science experiment. The little ones think it's really cool. We soaked him in water overnight and the seeds in water too and today we spread on the seeds. They should start to sprout in a few days.

Defunking Mannys Cloth Diapers

Mannys diapers were really starting to hold an odor so I got out the Dawn and tried to "strip" them then since it was a nice day I hung them out for some fresh air. Now they smell much better ;)

Our Boys

Isn't this picture cute? It's of the boys at my moms on Christmas.

French Onion Soup-So Yummy

I have had this lingering cold/throat thing going on for nearly a week now and it's really getting on my nerves so I have been juicing and today I made homemade French Onion soup. It was soooo good. I went to Trader Joes on Saturday and got a bag of sweet organic onions for only like $2.25 and a box of organic beef broth for $2.50 and 2 bags of cheese. One was Parmesan and the other was a mix of swiss and gruyere that I browned on top of the soup. Oh and I made homemade croutons out of focaccia from TJ's too. After it was all said and done I had a big pot of delicious, healthy, homemade French Onion soup for under $10.00 and it was so quick and easy to make. Actually the hardest part was the onion on my already painful watery eyes ;).

Lord Of the Rings Legos!

We are so excited they are going to make Lord of the Rings Lego sets!   We have been wondering why they didnt do it sooner.
